You use screen share to show other participants what's on your computer. This feature is ideal for sharing documents, photos, or a browser window.
Tip
For high-quality video streaming, we recommend using either EBS or the Stream feature in Evercast for Mac or Windows.
Follow the steps based on how you are accessing Evercast:
-
In a live room, on the bottom toolbar, click the Stream button, and then Share screen. The Screen share window opens.
-
Select the screen or window to share. A red square appears around the preview of the screen you've chosen.
-
Select the image quality.
-
Click Share. Your screen is shared as a feed in the live room and has its own thumbnail. The Stream button turns red.
-
To stop sharing, click the Stream button, and then Stop screen share.
Tip
When a screen share is started, it automatically locks to the main viewing area with a blue square around the thumbnail.
To manually lock a different feed to your main viewing area, simply click on the thumbnail of that feed (whether it’s a person or a stream).
To use the default (toggling among whoever is speaking), click the screen share thumbnail to unlock it from the main viewing area.
-
In a live room, on the bottom toolbar, click the More button, and then Screen share. The Screen share settings window opens.
-
In the Screen share quality drop-down, select an image quality.
-
Click Start. The Choose what to share window opens.
-
If you want to share your entire screen, in the Entire Screen tab, select which screen to share.
-
If you want to share a specific window that's open, click the Window tab and select the window.
-
If you want to share a specific Chrome tab that's open, click the Chrome Tab tab, scroll through the list of open tabs, and select the one you want to share.
-
Click Share. Your screen is shared as a feed in the live room and has its own thumbnail.
-
To stop sharing, click the More button, and then Stop screen share.
