You can customize your conferencing view by arranging thumbnails vertically, horizontally, or in a grid.
By default, the desktop app will auto-adjust its layout depending on what is happening in the room. When there are only participants in the room for a video conference, the thumbnails will be displayed in Grid view.
When a stream starts in the room, the app will automatically switch to Active speaker view, with the thumbnails along the top of the app and the stream in the main window.
You can customize your layout. Here's how to do it:
-
Hover over the Layout button on your bottom toolbar to bring up the Layout submenu. Choose between auto-adjusted layout, staying in active speaker view,or staying in a fixed grid.
You can also switch to full screen view here. To exit full screen mode, hover over the Layout button again and select Exit full screen.
-
Click on the Layout button to see the Layout settings menu. Here you can switch between auto-adjust layout, staying in active speaker view, or staying in a grid. If you select Grid view, you can adjust the number of participant squares visible in your grid (up to 25).
