You use the Stream feature in Evercast for Mac or Windows to stream video sources from DaVinci Resolve. You can stream in:
-
Conference mode: Stream to a live room while being a participant in the room.
-
Stream only mode: Stream to a live room without being a participant in the room. You won't see or hear any other participants, and they can only see or hear the stream.
Note
The DaVinci Resolve Stream feature uses two video sources: a DeckLink source and a screen share source. Here's how to set up your Blackmagic capture and playback device for streaming.
If you do not have Blackmagic hardware connected to your streaming computer, there is no setup needed and only a screen share will be sent to the Evercast room.
-
Open the DaVinci Resolve app and prepare the source content you want to stream.
-
In the Evercast for Mac or Windows app, enter a live room. Evercast auto-detects that DaVinci Resolve is running, and a floating panel appears above the DaVinci Resolve app.
A Stream DaVinci Resolve menu option also appears in the Stream menu on the bottom toolbar.
You can use either the floating panel or the Stream toolbar button to set up your stream.
-
Once the Evercast room is open, a floating panel appears in the top left corner of the DaVinci Resolve app.
-
The floating panel shows the name of the room where you are streaming, and some settings. Click the gear icon on the floating panel to open a Settings window where you can adjust these values as needed.
If you are streaming without Blackmagic hardware (screen share only), the Settings window will look like this:
-
Click the green Start button on the floating panel to begin streaming. If you are using Blackmagic hardware, Evercast will generate both a DeckLink stream and a screen share, at the same time.
-
When you're ready to stop streaming, click the red Stop stream button on the floating panel. Both the DeckLink stream and the screen share will stop.
Evercast auto-detects that DaVinci Resolve is running, and when you click the Stream button on the bottom toolbar, a new Stream DaVinci Resolve option will be available.

-
Click the Stream button on the toolbar, then Stream DaVinci Resolve to select whether you are streaming with DeckLink or screen share. A Settings menu will appear.
-
Click the Start button to begin your stream.
-
When you're ready to stop streaming, click the red Stream button on the Evercast toolbar and stop your stream or screen share.
Note
Streaming DaVinci Resolve with DeckLink will generate both a Decklink stream and a screen share, at the same time. You can individually stop either stream from the Stream button in the toolbar. To stop both streams at once, use the red Stop stream button in the floating panel.
-
Open the DaVinci Resolve app and prepare the source content you want to stream.
-
In the Evercast for Mac or Windows app, open the dashboard.
-
On the tile of the room you want to stream to, click the button with the three dots and select Stream only. The lobby opens in stream only mode.
You can also switch to stream only mode in the room lobby. Click on Settings and change the mode, then click Save.
Your lobby will now show that you're in stream only mode. Click Enter room.
