Who can use this feature? |
A room owner can remove a participant from a live room session using the Remove from room feature. A room owner can permanently remove a participant from a private room with the Room access settings. Here's how to do it.

Find the thumbnail of the person you wish to remove from your room. Hover over their thumbnail and click on the downward arrow icon that appears on the top right of the thumbnail.

Select Remove from room.

A window will pop up, asking you to confirm your choice. Click Remove.

The participant will be removed from the live room and sent back to their Lobby. They will see a message informing them what happened:
Caution
If the room is open and not private, the removed participant can re-join the room at any time. If the room is private, the removed participant will need a new invitation to join the room in the future.
Note
This only works if the room is private. If the room is open, any participant who has the link to the room can still access the room.
Follow the steps based on how you are accessing Evercast:

On the dashboard, find the room where you want to remove a participant. On the top right corner of your room's tile, click the button with the three dots and select Room access.

Or you can change Room access from within a live room:
In the desktop app version 3.0 and higher, hover over the room name in the top left corner.
In the desktop app version 2.x, click on the More button on the bottom right.

In the Room access window, in the Who has access section, find the participant you want to disinvite from the room.

Click the X next to the email address.

On the dashboard, find the room where you want to remove a participant. On the top right corner of your room's tile, click the button with the three dots and select Room access.

Or, from within a live room:
On the bottom toolbar, click the More button on the right. Select Room access.

In the Room access window, in the Who has access section, find the participant you want to disinvite from the room.

Click the X next to the email address.
Warning
The participant's access to the room ends when the participant signs out of their Evercast account. To immediately remove someone's access to a private room, use the Remove from room feature in the participant thumbnail settings.
