Who can use this feature?
|
You use the Feature controls screen to toggle features on and off for your organization. Any changes you make will take place immediately in your rooms.
First, you set the default features that you want to apply to all rooms within your organization. Within those default settings, you can choose to make some features available only to specific rooms.
-
Click on the Feature controls tab at the top of your window, then click Defaults. The Default features panel appears.
-
To make a feature available to all rooms, click the feature's toggle so it shows a black dot.
-
To deactivate features, click the feature’s toggle so it shows a gray dot.
-
From the Feature controls tab at the top of your window, click on a room that you want to adjust. On the right you will see the Feature availability panel for that room. Any features that have been set to “room-specific” can be toggled on or off.
This feature is useful if, for example, you want to allow recordings in some rooms but not others, or want to require some rooms to be private.
-
To activate a feature for the room to use, click the feature’s toggle so it shows a black dot.
-
To deactivate a feature you don’t want a room to use, click the feature’s toggle so it shows a gray dot.
Note
If a feature is completely grayed out, that means it hasn't been set in the Default features panel to be a room-specific option.
You want the ability to create recordings in some rooms but not others. You toggle this feature on in Default features and select the Room-specific box.
Notice in the image below that you can configure the Open rooms feature for this room. The Recordings feature is toggled on but is grayed out, meaning you can't configure it for this room. The other features are toggled off and grayed out, so they won't be available in this room.
