Evercast Broadcaster Software (EBS) is where you:

The video conferencing room and EBS run independently of each other. You don't have to run them both on the same computer.
You only need to install and run EBS if you're sending a stream to a room. If you're just attending a live session, all you need is:

Access to the room

The Chrome browser or the iOS app to get into a room
You can use an Apple TV to view a stream from EBS in better quality. The Apple TV app is not the same as the video conferencing room. It's only for viewing a video stream.
Example
Example Studio is meeting in a room to discuss a scene in a film. The editor uses Avid and wants to send the video to the Evercast room. The editor sets up EBS to stream the video from Avid to the room.
The director, editor, and other participants join an Evercast video conferencing room to talk about the scene. Everyone sees the video stream that the editor is streaming from EBS into the room.
In addition to the live room, the director has an Apple TV for viewing the stream from EBS in better quality.
