Roles in Evercast – Evercast

Every member of a fabulous production has a role. It's no different while using Evercast!

Here's the breakdown of different roles:

Evercast roles

Role	Description
Participant	Joins a room and participates in video conferencing. Can see any content being displayed.
Room owner	Creates the room and takes ownership of the room’s accessibility and other features. There can only be one room owner for a room. The room owner can: Create or delete the room Rename the room Change the privacy settings of the room Invite and uninvite participants to the room Invite special guests with a one-time link Record sessions, play them back, and delete recordings Clear all chats Mute participants in a room Remove a participant from the room Stream to the Evercast Apple TV app
Room admin	Is appointed by the room owner and shares control over the room. There can be multiple room admins for each room. A room admin can have all the above-listed room owner abilities, except the room admin cannot delete a room.
Streamer	Runs the desktop app or EBS and sends a video/audio feed to the room for everyone to see. This person is usually an editor or engineer; however, any participant in the room can stream to the room, as long as they are using the desktop app or EBS.
