We've upgraded the recording feature and added the option to download your recordings. Downloads are set to "off" by default—to request downloadable recordings, contact your account manager.
Note: In the download version of the recording, if there are multiple streams in the room, the recording will capture the most recent stream only.
- Downloadable recordings will capture webcams, drawings, App Shares, and the most recent stream into the room.
- When you start your recording in the web app, you can customize the layout view that will be captured, as well as the recording's resolution (720 or 1080), FPS (23.98, 24, 30, or 60), and audio channel layout (stereo, 5.1, or 7.1).

- The Layout settings menu now has options to auto-hide the toolbar and hide the participant thumbnails.
- Clicking on the participant counter in the top menu will open the People panel.

Rooms will default to grid view when a session begins. When a stream starts in the room, the app will automatically switch to active speaker view.
Clicking on the draw tool will automatically switch your layout to active speaker mode.
- Room admins and authorized participants can use the "curved arrow" button on the bottom right of an active stream window to output the stream to Apple TV.

Forensic watermarking is now available in Evercast Suites beta. The watermarking is visually imperceptible, and will secure video streams in active speaker view, grid view, and thumbnails.
Note: forensic watermarking requires the suite to be set to private, and will automatically disable recordings and the single-use guest invite feature.
- Room owners and room admins will see two new buttons in the draw tool menu. The Clear stream button instantly clears all drawings (from one or more participants) on a stream, and the Clear room button clears all drawings in a room, on any stream.
- Room admins can now control whether a room is public or private.
- Room admins can be given a chat manager role, which lets them clear and/or download the chat history.
- You can put a room in both Theater mode and Do not disturb mode at the same time.
- Room admins can remove viewers from a live room that's in Theater mode.
- We made some updates to our UI.
- Rooms now have a Theater mode, which allows one-to-many streaming with up to 100 people in a live session. Attendees will either be contributors (able to speak, show their webcam, stream video, and screen share) or viewers (able to see and hear everything, but muted with no webcam video). You can turn on Theater mode in the Evercast Admin Portal.
- For rooms in Theater mode, you can designate invitees as contributors or viewers from the Room access menu or from Admin Portal. Guests who are sent a special invite link will automatically join the room as viewers.
- The updated Participant list shows which people are active contributors and which people are viewers.
- We updated Do not disturb mode on Evercast for Chrome. When a participant tries to enter a room in Do not disturb mode, their request will be sent to a room admin. If approved, they will automatically join the room. If denied, they will be returned to their dashboard.
- We added a Do not disturb (Beta) feature for active rooms. During a live session, you can enable Do not disturb and lock the room so nobody else can join. New participants who attempt to enter the room while it's locked will receive a "Private room" message.
- Permissions managers can activate Do not disturb in Admin Portal. The feature can be turned on for the entire organization, or on a room-specific basis.
- Note this is a beta feature in active development and we welcome your feedback.
- We added multi-factor authentication (MFA) for joining rooms.
- A room requiring MFA can only be private and can't be changed to an open room.
- The Special invite feature will be disabled for MFA rooms.
- Permissions Managers can enable MFA in the Admin Portal. You can set MFA to be required across your entire organization, or on a room-specific basis.
For more information about MFA, please view our Help Center article.
- You can now view network connection information (such as upload speed and connection type) for other participants in your room. This can help diagnose whether issues with streaming quality are being caused by poor connectivity.
-
To access this feature, click on the Network connectivity icon in the lower corner of someone's thumbnail:
A window will pop up over the thumbnail showing that user's connection information. To close the window, click on the X.
