Welcome to the new web app lobby!
The settings for the webcam, microphone, and speakers are conveniently located in the dropdown menu for each item:
Your video preview has buttons to show/hide your webcam and mute/unmute your microphone. You can test your mic by unmuting and speaking into it—you should see the grey audio meter move up and down.
Once you've checked out your settings, click Enter room to continue your tour!
The left side of the top menu bar shows information about the room.
The right side of the top menu bar shows information about you, and provides links to more help.
For more information about the top menu bar, visit this page.
Most items in the bottom toolbar will show a submenu when you hover over them, and perform a different action when you click on them.
The center of the toolbar has controls for your microphone, webcam, and playback audio. You will also find buttons to open the room's chat window, and use the draw tool (when there is an active stream in the room).
The People button gives thumbnails options when you hover over it, and brings up a participant list when you click on it.
The Stream button lets you start a stream in the room. The EBS stream keys option is now located in this menu.
The Layout button allows you to customize how you view participants and streams.
Room owners and room admins will see an Admin button on the left, which has room options such as Mute everyone and End session.
To leave a room, click the Exit button on the bottom right.
Layout options are here! Use the Layout button on the bottom toolbar to switch between grid view, active speaker view, or auto-adjust.
You can also customize the number of participant squares visible in your grid (up to 25).
For more information on layout options, visit this page.
You can access the recordings panel from within an active room session by hovering over the room name at the top left.
You can also get to it from the dashboard by clicking the "three dots" menu on your room tile.
The Network connectivity info panel will appear when you hover over any user's name in their thumbnail square (including your own).
You can also view your own network connectivity at any time by hovering over the "network bars" icon in the top right of the app.
