We’ve heard you! We're always working to improve your experience on Evercast. Here’s a roundup of the latest changes.
Room owners can mute a single participant or the entire room.
Here's how it works
If you want to mute a participant so that no one else in the room can hear them, use the Mute for all option. This can be useful when a participant has background noise.
-
Find the thumbnail of the person you wish to mute for everyone. Hover over the thumbnail and click on the downward arrow icon that appears on the top right of the thumbnail.
-
Select Mute for everyone.
-
The participant will be muted.
To mute all participants in a room at once, use the Mute all option.
-
In the bottom toolbar, click the More button, then Mute all.
-
All participants will be muted, except the room owner. Streaming content will not be muted.
For more information about muting, view our Help Center article.
You can use the Remove from room feature to remove a participant from a live room.
Here's how it works
-
Find the thumbnail of the person you wish to remove from your room. Click on the "three dots" button on the top right of the thumbnail.
-
Select Remove from room.
-
A window will pop up, asking you to confirm your choice. Click Remove.

The participant will be removed from the live room.

You can now select MediaSilo as a streaming source. This feature works in conference mode and in stream only mode.

In Stream only mode, click the MediaSilo button on the bottom toolbar:

Evercast detects that you are signed in to MediaSilo and brings up a Stream MediaSilo file window. Select your project and click the Stream file button.
-
A settings window will appear. Choose your settings and click Start to begin your stream.
-
At the bottom of the streaming video, you will see controls to play, pause, go to the previous or next frame, and control the volume. You can also scrub forward and backward on the timeline.
-
To stop streaming, press the red Stream button on the bottom toolbar and select Stop URL stream.
-
Evercast will convert streamed content to match your display's color space, if your display does not support the source color space.
-
Users can now join the same room with the same account, on multiple devices.
-
We added a Network connectivity icon to the lower corner of the participant thumbnails. Click on this icon to bring up a window showing your real-time internet connectivity details.
To experience these features and more, make sure to update your Evercast app for Mac and Windows.
Happy streaming! Stay tuned until next time.
