We’ve heard you! We're always working to improve your experience on Evercast. Here’s a roundup of the latest changes.
When content is being streamed from a file in the Evercast app for Mac or Windows, now any participant in the room can control the playback of the file being streamed, if given permission to do so. Allow participants to pause, play, and scrub frame-by-frame while watching together.
Here's how it works
In the Stream (beta) screen, the person initiating the file stream uses the Playback control privileges setting to allow other participants to be able to control the playback of the files being streamed.
Our latest improvements to thumbnails gives you even more flexibility and visibility in a live room. You'll find a new menu that appears on the top right corner of a participant's thumbnail and gives more options for controlling features such as audio, camera, and placement of the thumbnail. When an option from the menu is selected, its icon is shown on the bottom of the thumbnail for visibility.
A thumbnail will also now show the participant's initials instead of a blank square when their camera is off.

File stream was updated with the option to drag and drop a file onto the screen as well as select it from a folder. During file stream playback, volume controls have been added for both the streamer and the participants.

In the lobby, texts and icons were improved to make them more user friendly. Highlights include changing the Go live button to Enter room and changing Open Device Selection to Settings.
To experience these features and more, make sure to update your Evercast app for Mac and Windows.
Happy streaming! Stay tuned until next time.
