If you must use Wi-Fi: Use your 5G network if you're close to your router and your 2.4G network if you’re farther away.
If you must run both EBS and the web browser with your Evercast room on the same device, use Incognito mode on your browser to disable the plugins and limit CPU usage.
Try adjusting the FPS, stream bitrate, and resolution inside EBS
Close any excess apps you have running on your device
Close any additional tabs you have open on your web browser
Turn off Google Chrome extensions by clicking the puzzle piece icon in the top right corner of the Chrome browser window (this will open a new Chrome window where you can turn off any active extensions.)
Hide the participant thumbnails in the Evercast room by clicking the 'Hide Thumbnails' button on your toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
Within the Evercast room on your browser, find the 'EBS' thumbnail and click on the video camera icon inside it to disable the feed from your view. This will not affect the participants' view of the feed.
Check computer CPU usage and terminate processes as needed:
MacOS: Open Activity Monitor > Memory tab: Check ‘Memory used’ and kill high Memory Usage Processes by double-clicking on them and then clicking ‘Quit.’
Windows OS:Open Task Manager > Performance tab > Open Resource Monitor > CPU tab: Sort by CPU column. Then, right-click on high CPU processes and click ‘End Process Tree.’
