We’ve heard you! We're always working to improve your experience on Evercast. Here’s a roundup of the latest changes.
We've added Screenshare to our list of streaming methods that support up to 7.1 surround sound. Other streams that offer surround sound are Stream DeckLink, Stream files, and Stream URL.
If a stream is playing in your main window (Active speaker view), you will now see a volume control at the bottom left of the stream.
You can now run Evercast on the Safari browser, if you are using macOS Ventura (or higher).
Known issues: We do not have support yet for Admin Portal or Chats / Notes downloads on Safari.
-
Muted participants now have a red "mute" icon on their thumbnail, so you can easily tell if someone’s microphone is on or off.
-
We made our UI rendering system more efficient, which frees up processing power for video rendering.
-
When seeking in Stream files, it's now faster to jump between points in the streamed video.
To experience these features and more, make sure to update your Evercast app for Mac and Windows.
Happy streaming! Stay tuned until next time.
